The Sabah Carbon Market Forum 2026 is a one-day capacity-building forum hosted by the Sabah State Government, and jointly organised by Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX) and the Malaysia Carbon Market Association (MCMA) in partnership with CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad. Held under the theme, "Unlocking Carbon Market Opportunities in Sabah", this forum, which will be held on the 24 September 2026, will bring together key stakeholders to discuss carbon market developments, project development opportunities, market standards, blue carbon potential and financing solutions, while exploring pathways to advance Sabah's carbon market ecosystem.

This one-day capacity-building forum is designed to strengthen understanding of carbon markets and support the operationalisation of Sabah's environmental products under the Sabah Climate Change and Carbon Governance Enactment 2025. Bringing together government agencies, financial institutions, project developers, industry practitioners and sustainability stakeholders, the programme also includes a high-level panel discussion exploring practical approaches to unlocking carbon market opportunities and financing solutions in Sabah.
